For this project, I was prompted to design an evening gown in line with the theme of the 2024 Met Gala--Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion. I decided to draw upon the princess theme in connection with a "reawakening" of sorts in my design. The dye towards the bottom of the delicate green tiers evokes the feeling of poison and, contrarily, the emotion of rebirth & rising as it travels upwards.
